This 1950's post and beam home had good bones, but had fallen into disrepair and was very awkwardly laid-out. we relocated the entry, expanded the cramped galley kitchen into an unused dark space, and opened it to the view, and replaced the sliding windows that obstructed the view with large expanses of glass. The house was also made much more energy-efficient through insulation,a polyurethane 'cool roof', and solar panels. Phase 2, remodeling the lower two floors, has just been completed but has not been photographed.
